Welcome to The Backbin

Hello to all,

Welcome to the inaugural post of The Backbin. I don’t expect that I’ll rant much in this first of (hopefully) many posts to come, though there is, as always, more than enough to rant about in this, the wonderful world of comics. Instead, I shall be the model of civility and calm in testing these online waters. I start this blog with the goal of communicating my thoughts on comics and the comic industry. Undoubtedly hubris plays no small factor in making this an online blog as opposed to a private journal, but I hope that in growing a reader base, and fostering a sense of dialogue between reader and poster, to learn what others think about this writer, artist, and editor; that character, issue, and story-arc; titles, publishers, fans and communities. I start this blog in order to talk through my thoughts, and to welcome you to do the same - to do it together.

With that in mind, expect reviews of recent and not so recent comics, excited ravings for upcoming works, links to industry news and articles, and a veritable cornucopia of comic candour.
